We're looking for a dependable and organized Food Prep to support our kitchen team. This role involves prepping ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and following food safety guidelines. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys teamwork, can work efficiently in a high-paced setting, and values consistency in daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients and supplies needed for each shift based on sales trends and current inventory.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify the team of any shortages or items that need reordering.
  • Confirm that all ingredients and packaging materials are properly labeled with accurate production and expiration dates.
  • Record temperatures for refrigerators and freezers at designated times.
  • Regularly inspect kitchen equipment and report any issues requiring maintenance.
  • Use FIFO (First In, First Out) practices and inform the shift leader of any items nearing expiration.
  • Keep your prep station clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.
  • Ensure cutlery, serving bowls, and plates are clean, damage-free, and ready for use.
  • Assist the shift leader with various kitchen tasks as required.
  • Follow assigned cleaning checklists for daily and weekly deep cleaning.
  • Accurately complete shift opening and closing duties.
  • Help conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records.
  • Follow all food safety protocols and maintain hygiene standards in food storage and handling.
  • Make sure food items are stored and served at safe temperatures.
  • Ensure no order is served without a Kitchen Order Ticket (KOT) or docket.
  • Check that the kitchen printer is working, clean, and has a functioning thermal roll.
  • Use the correct chopping boards and storage methods for different food types.
  • Working closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Abu Dhabi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Food Prep: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Essential Food Safety Training Certificate or EFST (Preferred)
