Job Description:
We are looking for a Food Procurement & Logistics Officer to manage the purchasing of food items and handle all related shipment processes. The candidate must have knowledge of UAE Mofaic Attestation and be able to coordinate smoothly with suppliers, logistics teams, and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement & Vendor Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for FMCG raw materials, packaging, and finished products.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Monitor vendor performance and resolve any supply issues.
- Purchasing & Logistics:
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) in line with production requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams (production, warehouse, finance) to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Track shipments locally and internationally, ensuring compliance with delivery schedules.
- Cost & Inventory Control:
- Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor inventory levels and recommend procurement plans based on demand forecasts.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and reports.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with UAE regulations, company policies, and attestation requirements for imported goods.
- Manage necessary documentation for customs, shipments, and Mosaic attestation processes.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and ensure smooth clearance of imported goods.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare regular procurement reports, including cost analysis, vendor performance, and stock status.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in FMCG procurement.
- Knowledge of UAE import/export regulations and attestation processes.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software.
- Ability to work independently
Preferred:
- Experience in handling international shipments and logistics.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
