Coordination and Communication:

• Serve as the liaison between the kitchen and the front-of-house team, facilitating clear and effective communication to ensure timely and accurate order execution.
• Relay orders from servers to the kitchen with precision, confirming special requests, modifications, and timing preferences to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Communicate order status, readiness, and any delays to servers and management, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout service.

Quality Control and Presentation:

• Inspect food items for quality, accuracy, and adherence to presentation standards before they are sent to the dining room, ensuring consistency and excellence in every dish.
• Garnish and plate dishes with attention to detail, following established plating guidelines and garnishing standards to enhance visual appeal and guest experience.
• Verify the completeness of each order, ensuring all components are present and correctly portioned before they are dispatched to the dining area.

Timing and Prioritization:

• Manage the flow of orders to ensure timely delivery and synchronized service, prioritizing items based on preparation time, guest seating, and special requests.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to adjust cooking times and pacing as needed, maintaining balance and efficiency during peak periods.
• Anticipate potential bottlenecks or delays in the kitchen and proactively address them to minimize impact on service and guest satisfaction.

Guest Interaction and Hospitality:

• Interact with guests courteously and professionally, providing updates on order status, addressing inquiries, and accommodating special requests with warmth and hospitality.
• Anticipate guests' needs and preferences based on order history and dining cues, ensuring proactive service and personalized attention.
• Handle guest feedback and concerns with diplomacy and discretion, seeking swift resolution and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Team Support and Collaboration:

• Foster a spirit of teamwork and collaboration among kitchen staff, servers, bussers, and bartenders, working together to achieve common goals and deliver exceptional service.
• Provide assistance and support to teammates during busy periods, pitching in to expedite orders, clear tables, or address any operational challenges as needed.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate tasks, share information, and maintain a cohesive and efficient operation.

Adaptability and Problem-Solving:

• Remain calm and composed under pressure, adapting quickly to changing circumstances and resolving any issues or challenges that arise during service.
• Exercise sound judgment and problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles, minimize errors, and ensure a seamless dining experience for guests.
• Demonstrate flexibility and resourcefulness in managing competing priorities and addressing unexpected situations with grace and professionalism.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an expeditor or in a similar role in a high-end restaurant or luxury hospitality environment preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple orders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and assertively under pressure.
• Proficiency in kitchen terminology and culinary techniques, with a basic understanding of food preparation and presentation standards.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to accommodate the restaurant's operating hours.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the restaurant's standards of excellence in every aspect of service.
