Food Runner/Host

Join our dynamic team as a Host & Food Runner, where you’ll play a dual role in creating seamless and memorable guest experiences from arrival to final bite. Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Hosting

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently, providing accurate wait times.
  • Coordinate table assignments to balance service flow and maximize seating efficiency.
  • Manage reservations and accommodate special requests when possible.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries professionally and courteously.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.

Food Running & Service Support

  • Deliver freshly prepared dishes from the kitchen to guests promptly and accurately, ensuring presentation and temperature standards are met.
  • Verify orders before leaving the kitchen to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist servers by bussing tables, clearing plates, and resetting tables efficiently to support smooth turnover.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team members regarding timing, special requests, and guest needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining areas, service stations, and side stations while adhering to food safety standards.
  • Support banquet or special event service by delivering food items swiftly and assisting with guest requests.

Team & Operational Support

  • Uphold food handling procedures and safety regulations at all times.
  • Monitor dining room flow and assist where needed to maintain an efficient and positive service environment.
  • Provide attentive, friendly customer service to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable dining experience for every guest.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or restaurant environments preferred.
  • Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations.
  • Experience with Toast POS or reservation systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and maintain high energy throughout shifts.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays preferred.
