We are currently seeking a qualified and proactive Hygiene Manager to join our team in Abu Dhabi.
Position Overview
The Hygiene Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all hygiene and food safety operations within the company. This role ensures that Greenland Catering’s kitchens, production areas, and service units comply with all relevant hygiene, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor hygiene and sanitation procedures in line with company policies and UAE food safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP, ISO 22000, and Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits across all catering sites and facilities.
- Manage pest control, cleaning schedules, and waste management systems.
- Provide ongoing training for all staff on hygiene, sanitation, and food safety best practices.
- Maintain documentation and records required for internal and external audits.
- Lead investigations and corrective actions in response to hygiene or food safety non-conformities.
- Liaise with local authorities and external auditors as needed.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Environmental Health, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a hygiene management role within catering or large-scale food production.
- Strong knowledge of HACCP, ISO 22000, and UAE food safety standards.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Certification in Food Safety / Hygiene Management is required.
- Experience working with ADAFSA regulations is an advantage.
