Utah based, SQF certified commercial bakery is seeking a qualified Food Safety and

Quality Assurance Manager to help us continue growing and improving! We are looking

Job Description

The FSQA Manager is accountable for the company’s overall food safety

program and will act as the SQF Practitioner. In this role, it will be your responsibility is

to ensure that food safety, sanitation and, quality standards are compliant with all

regulatory bodies, company standards and SQF requirements. Applicants must enjoy

working closely with others to assure that food safety is always a priority while keeping

a friendly and professional demeanor. Prior experience in a food safety role is required.

Applicants must have knowledge of GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and SQF requirements and

experience maintaining a successful food safety plan. A PCQI and/or HACCP

certification is required.

As the FSQA Manager, you will be constantly refining, updating and

implementing food safety programs. Good writing skills are required and you must be

comfortable using technology like computers, tablets and various software programs to

accomplish tasks. The FSQA Manager will oversee our sanitation, environmental

monitoring, pest control, allergen, and other food safety programs.

This is an active job where you will be on your feet, walking, reaching, bending,

lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling etc. If you are bi-lingual (English-Spanish), this skill would

also be a huge plus for us, but is not a requirement. This

Duties would Include but would not be limited to:

 Maintaining a thorough understanding of GMP, SQF, and FDA regulations and

requirements

 Overseeing everything related to our SQF, GMP, HACCP and FSMA programs

including: reviewing, maintaining, improving and implementing food safety plans

 Developing and/or revising SOP’s

 Maintaining meticulous records and logs and train others to do the same

 Regularly validating team compliance

 Overseeing the Sanitation Department

 Working with Production Managers to address and prevent quality control and

food safety issues

 Conducting regular internal food safety audits and mock recalls

 Initiating and implement corrective actions when needed

 Overseeing the correct implementation of pre-op inspections

 Must have excellent analytical skills with close attention to detail

 Provide positive training to team members on GMP’s, HACCP, and CCP’s

 Take the lead on all third party and government inspections, both planned and

unplanned

 Maintain compliance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, guidelines, and

policies.
