About the Role

We are seeking a QA/Food Safety & Quality Supervisor to lead day-to-day food safety execution within our USDA-inspected meat processing facility.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role responsible for ensuring HACCP compliance, enforcing GMPs, and maintaining continuous audit readiness during production.

The position serves as the primary on-site food safety lead, working closely with operations while receiving guidance from experienced QA professionals. Reports to QA leadership.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and monitor HACCP programs, including CCP verification

- Ensure real-time accuracy and integrity of food safety and production records

- Identify deviations and drive immediate corrective actions, including product holds when required

- Oversee pre-operational sanitation and allergen control programs

Qualifications

Required:

- 2+ years of experience in food manufacturing, QA/QC, food safety or production

- Working knowledge or exposure to HACCP and food safety systems

- Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline

- Ability to work on the production floor and engage directly with teams and other departments.

- Willingness to take ownership and enforce standards

- Ability to work occasional OT

Preferred:

- Experience in USDA / FSIS-regulated environments

- HACCP or PCQI certification

- Familiarity with GMP, SQF, BRC, FSSC, or customer audits

- Bilingual (English / Spanish)

- Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or related field

- Maintain strong floor presence to enforce GMPs and food safety practices

- Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready at all times

- Serve as on-site support during USDA (FSIS) inspections and third-party audits

- Partner with operations to balance compliance and production efficiency

Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
