Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests and dietary needs are noted
• Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and food safety protocols
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while providing personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
• Manage table settings, clear used dishes, and assist with bussing to maintain a clean and inviting environment
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while maintaining accountability for all sales
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and billing
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations within the food industry
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Experience in upselling, guest relations, and providing memorable guest experiences
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and inventory management
• Previous host/hostess experience or bartending background is a plus but not required
