Duties

• Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems like Harbor Touch or similar platforms
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems using Harbor Touch/Sky Tab to ensure seamless transactions
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques
• Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area
• Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, dietary restrictions, and restaurant policies
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating versatility within the food service environment

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience in a fast-paced setting is preferred, especially in fine dining.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Harbor Touch/Sky Tab or similar platforms is highly desirable
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and positively
• Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations to ensure compliance and guest safety
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of culinary terminology and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
• Host/hostess experience or background in guest services will be considered an asset
