Food Server

THIS IS A UNION STEADY EXTRA POSITION

Essential Job Functions:

· Take and deliver customer orders and input into POS system

· Check with customers often to ensure they are enjoying their meal and take action to correct any problems

· Maintain tables by removing dishes and glasses

· Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods

· Up-sell drinks and desserts

· Check identification to ensure minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages

· Finalize guest checks

· Relay all guest compliments/complaints to appropriate supervisor

· Maintain required side work on assigned workstation

Work Environment:

· Must be willing to work any shift when necessary, including weekends and holidays

· Must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke

Job Requirements:

· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English; Bilingual a plus

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· Must present a well-groomed, professional appearance

· Must have Alcohol card and Health card or ability to obtain same

· Previous food server experience required; at least one year

· Must possess excellent customer service skills

· High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

· Must be able to grasp, bend, lift and carry a tray of up to 30 pounds

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $12.00 per hour
