Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems Squirrel POS, ensuring all special requests are noted.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales, utilizing openTable reservations for seating management when applicable.
  • Check in with guests regularly to ensure satisfaction, address concerns promptly, and foster positive guest relations.
  • Clear tables efficiently by bussing and resetting for new guests while maintaining cleanliness standards in the dining area.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery, supporting overall restaurant operations.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, including cash handling and basic math calculations for bills and tips.
  • Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines throughout your shift.
  • Assist with additional duties such as opening/closing procedures, or supporting host/hostess responsibilities during busy periods.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred; fine dining experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that enhances guest experiences.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills for guest interactions and teamwork within the restaurant staff.
  • Basic math skills for cashiering, bill splitting, and handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays is requied in a dynamic hospitality environment.
