Food Server

We are looking for a few awesome culinary team members!!! Server who will be responsible for taking orders from and serving food to customers. Assisting in the dining room and kitchen, as needed, to ensure the residents receive a delicious meal, served at the correct temperature. That the dining experience is superior and customer service orientated. Making this dining room one in which they would like to come back to daily

Supports the production functions of the kitchen and dining room staff. Carries out responsibilities as needed and in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a positive attitude and ability work well with other staff. Previous work experience involving customer service and/or long term care is greatly desired.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Shall develop and display an enthusiastic and cheerful attitude about the apartment community. By doing so, a more satisfactory relationship between the management and the residents will be maintained
• Report to work prior to the shift start. Be ready to work at time required.
• Clean and neat in attire/uniform at all times
• Timely station set up - Setting dining room prior to service, making sure plates, utensils and glassware are placed in the correct plating arrangement. Napkin is placed as directed.
• Prep / Line cook as needed.
• Deliver meals to apartments, if required.
• Assures food is served properly, at the correct temperatures and in an appetizing manner.
• Pours coffee and beverages for residents in the dining room.
• Monitors food/plates that are returned to the kitchen. Informs cook if a particular food is not eaten by multiple residents and/or receives complaints
• Offers substitute items when residents decline a menu item (as directed by Food Service Manager/Chef/Cook).
• Expected to follow the health and sanitation guidelines set by the state of Ohio
• Assure Dining Room is clean and sanitary after every meal including sanitizing table tops, wiping down chairs, vacuuming, etc. Also cleans salt and pepper shakers, sugar dish, cream containers, etc.
• Cleans and organizes the coffee area in the dining room.
• Washes and sanitizes all dishware and utensils.
• Sweeps, vacuums or washes all floors in Kitchen and Dining Room as required.
• Responsible for the proper handling of all equipment in the kitchen
• Assist Chef/Cook as directed.
• Other duties as assigned or as may be necessary to assure that the goals and objectives of the dining room are fulfilled.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Bending, pushing and pulling
• Some repetitive movement required
• Must be able to clearly communicate with residents, families, prospects, staff, outside personnel
• Read labels and instructions
• Work with strong smells and chemicals for extended periods of time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
