Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations
• Use reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating arrangements
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, adhere to food safety protocols, and handle cash transactions accurately

Experience

• Previous restaurant experience in a food service environment is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
• Experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality settings is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse guests
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to manage time effectively in a busy setting while multitasking seamlessly
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order calculations are essential
• Experience with host/hostess duties, bussing tables, or nightclub serving can be beneficial
