Food Service Teacher/Chef

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker/Chef to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that our guests receive high-quality food and service. You will play a vital role in food preparation, presentation, and maintaining a clean and safe dining area. Ideal candidates will possess strong hospitality skills and a passion for customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
• Assist with food handling, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest inquiries and requests promptly.
• Support catering events and banquets as needed, ensuring all food items are presented attractively.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as necessary.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and sanitation throughout the food service area.

Requirements

• Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant, or food service environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, dietary aide responsibilities, and catering services is a plus.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to food service operations.

This is a full time position with a 6:00am-2:30pm shift.

• Encourage healthy eating habits through delicious and nutritious foods.
• Maintain a keen awareness of children who have allergies and food restrictions.
• Ensure food service area and food are free of nuts, nut products or food items that have been processed in a facility that also processes nut products.
• Follow the daily menu prepared in collaboration with or by the Director.
• Assist with ordering food and calculating the amount needed.
