We are looking for a dedicated Food Technologist to join our team as a QA Executive. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the quality control and assurance processes within a leading company in the food industry. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of food safety standards, quality assurance procedures, and be passionate about ensuring high-quality food production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all food products meet the quality standards and specifications.
- Implement and monitor food safety and quality control measures throughout the production process.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Lead and manage internal and external audits, ensuring all food safety and quality systems are compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to quality control processes, including SOPs, quality reports, and audit results.
- Perform sensory and physical testing of food products to ensure they meet the required quality criteria.
- Identify and resolve quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are taken when necessary.
- Work closely with the production team to address quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with food safety regulations such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and other industry standards.
- Support the development and implementation of new product quality specifications.
- Provide training and support to staff on quality assurance practices and food safety procedures.
- Maintain communication with suppliers to ensure that raw materials meet the required quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in food quality assurance or quality control, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, ISO 22000, and other food quality certifications.
- Experience in leading audits (internal and external) and managing audit preparations and follow-ups.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing, sensory analysis, and food safety audits.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and tools (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective actions).
