Food Truck Counter Server

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
• Prepare and assemble food items according to established recipes and safety standards
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
• Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces
• Ensure food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
• Assist with food preparation when needed, supporting kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment
• Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods
• Support overall restaurant operations including serving, cashiering, and food industry best practices

Experience

• Previous experience in food service, quick service or fast food restaurant environments preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
• Culinary experience or background in the food industry is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell and engage positively with guests
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Experience working in a café, grocery store, or retail environment is beneficial
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a lively setting

Pay: $23.53 - $28.34 per hour
