At Kurtos Chimney Cake & Bread, we are a distinguished Hungarian bakery located on Main Street in Sarasota, specializing in the unique sweet and savory pastries known as Chimney Cake and Chimney Bread. Our charming brick-and-mortar store and food truck bring Hungary’s beloved street food to our local community. We are currently seeking a passionate and self-motivated individual to independently manage our food truck operations from open to close, leading your team to provide exceptional service.

Job Description:

We take pride in serving delightful food with a friendly smile. We are searching for an energetic Food Truck Operator & Manager to be an integral part of our vibrant food truck team. In this role, you will independently oversee all aspects of the food truck operation and lead your team in delivering top-notch service.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee all daily operations of the food truck, from setup to breakdown.

- Retrieve the food truck at the designated location and ensure it is stocked with necessary ingredients from our brick-and-mortar storefront.

- Hand-roll, bake, and fill fresh pastries at various event locations.

- Provide warm and engaging customer service while educating guests about the heritage of chimney cake and bread, making each experience memorable.

- Accurately handle cash and card payments.

- Maintain strict cleanliness and food safety standards inside the truck.

- Effectively monitor and manage inventory.

- Set up and break down the truck at each event or service location in a timely manner.

- Represent the Kurtos brand with enthusiasm, professionalism, and a genuine love for our products.

- Reliably work scheduled shifts, including weekends, festivals, and special events.

Requirements:

- A friendly, outgoing personality with a genuine passion for connecting with customers and sharing unique culinary experiences.

- Comfortable working independently.

- Prior food service experience is preferred; baking experience is a strong plus.

- Strong multitasking abilities to manage food preparation, service, and transactions simultaneously during peak hours.

- A valid driver’s license is a must.

- Dependable and punctual; your presence is essential for the truck's operation—without you, the truck doesn’t run.
