Foodservice Design Project Manager - CAD/Revit

The Firm:

The Marshall Associates, Inc. is a small firm of Food Service and Laundry Design Consultants engaged in the programming and design of Foodservice and Laundry Facilities for Hotels and Resorts, Corporate Headquarters, Universities and Colleges, K-12 Schools and District Central Commissaries, Restaurants, Community Centers, Senior Living Facilities, Country and Private Clubs, In-Plant Operations, Hospitals/Health Care Facilities, Correctional Institutions, Government Projects and Military Installations.

Job Details:

We are looking for someone who has a well-developed project management skill set and has a thorough understanding of REVIT-BIM based drawing production. The ideal person will have AutoCAD and Revit experience within the hospitality and foodservice industry.

Responsibilities:

As part of the project team, you will be responsible for producing technical AutoCAD drawings and Revit models that adhere to our established foodservice design standards. This includes the creation and refinement of detailed plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry requirements. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret design specifications are essential to meet the expectations set by our firm and our clients. By maintaining the standards outlined in our foodservice design protocols, you contribute to the overall quality and consistency of our project deliverables.

Update drawing sets throughout the project as needed, making any necessary revisions along the way.

Uphold TMA and Architectural client standards, processes, and procedures as they relate to our project designs

Project Support

Creation of project support documents; including but not limited to equipment specifications (Section 114000), equipment cutsheet brochures, equipment budget estimates and equipment elevation drawing details

Client Communications and Relationship Management

As a member of our project team, you will be expected to maintain open and effective communication with client CAD and Revit teams throughout each phase of the project. This includes addressing project questions and concerns, providing updates on project progress, and ensuring their requirements are accurately reflected in our design solutions.Initiative and Task CompletionWe are looking to hire individuals who demonstrate proactive initiative in their work. You are expected to take ownership of your assigned tasks, ensuring that all responsibilities are carried out efficiently and thoroughly. By driving your work to completion, you help sustain the high standards and reliability our clients expect from The Marshall Associates, Inc.

Ideal Candidate Qualities:

  • Minimum 3-5 years in a foodservice drafting or designer role with proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD; demonstrating portfolio desired. Digital examples of Revit and CAD drawings to be issued for review.
  • Architectural degree is preferred but not required
  • High-level attention to detail and commitment to providing clients with dedicated service
  • Knowledge of construction phases (Schematic Design through Construction Administration) and drawing/deliverable expectations within those phases
  • Familiarity with foodservice equipment manufacturers and sanitation standards.
  • Optimal time management skills
  • Strong capability to multi-task and pivot quickly between projects, clients and deadlines
  • A desire to establish long-term employment with our company
  • A person who excels when facing demanding standards and changing deadlines, is capable of self-motivation and effective management, and consistently demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Software experience: AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft platforms, AutoQuotes, KCL and Bluebeam

Experience:

  • Minimum 3-5 years in a foodservice drafting role
  • Revit: 2+ years preferred (emailed examples requested)
  • CAD: 5+ years preferred (emailed examples requested)

Salary:

  • Starting salary $75K-$85K, depending on experience

Position Shift Expectations:Monday through Friday 8am-5pm (with some flexibility after 90 days)

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
