Footwear Designer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Footwear Designer to bring fresh ideas and creative vision to our footwear collections. In this role, you will conceptualize, develop, and refine footwear designs that blend fashion-forward aesthetics with functional comfort. Responsibilities

• Develop original footwear concepts from initial sketches through to detailed technical drawings using Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, merchandising, and marketing to ensure designs align with brand identity and market demands.
• Utilize CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software to create precise 3D models and prototypes for testing and presentation purposes.
• Conduct research on current fashion trends, color theory, and innovative materials to incorporate into seasonal collections.
• Oversee the product lifecycle from design inception to final production, ensuring quality standards are met at each stage.
• Apply knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, and shoe manufacturing processes to develop feasible design solutions.
• Participate in fashion styling sessions and fashion retail insights to understand consumer preferences and refine design concepts accordingly.
• Travel to our China office during the year working with our China office and Team

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in footwear design with a focus on childrens footwear demonstrating a strong portfolio of innovative designs.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) along with CAD software for technical illustration and modeling.
• Solid understanding of product lifecycle management processes within the apparel or footwear industry.
• Knowledge of garment construction, sewing machine operation, and shoe manufacturing techniques.
• Familiarity with fashion retail trends, merchandising strategies, and visual presentation standards.
• Strong skills in graphic design, illustration, color theory, and fashion styling to communicate creative ideas effectively.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
