Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous Foreign Exchange Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing foreign exchange transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting GS Aduanera’s financial stability and global business operations. Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record and process all foreign exchange transactions in compliance with company policies and local regulations.
• Reconcile foreign exchange accounts and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Monitor currency exchange rates and their effects on the company’s financial positions.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on foreign exchange gains and losses for management review.
• Collaborate with the treasury and risk management teams to mitigate foreign exchange risks and optimize cash flow.
• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Conduct analysis of market trends and fluctuations in currency rates to provide strategic insights.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant accounting standards, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Work closely with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records and support ad-hoc financial reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in foreign exchange accounting or a related financial role.
• Solid understanding of foreign exchange markets, currency risk management, and financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems (experience with ERP systems preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.).
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Fluency in English (Arabic language skills are an advantage).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
