Foreman - 3rd Shift Precision Sheet Metal

Hours: - Full Time- 3rd shift, Fri-Sun. 3 x 12 hr. shifts

Pay rate: - $44.00 / hr. including shift premium

ROLE:

The 3rd Shift Precision Sheet Metal Foreman is responsible for managing the 3rd Shift Leads and Production associates involved in the creation of sheet metal products, reporting to the KPSM Operations Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Establish a Safety-First team environment with all Production associates, including proper use of PPE: safety shoes, safety glasses, protective gloves, hearing protection, and hard hats.
• Demonstrate a culture of 5S awareness, team wide, to maintain organization and cleanliness.
• Working with Production Leads, coordinating the efficient throughput of jobs through the facility. Production disciplines include Material Handling, CNC punching and laser cutting, CNC sheet metal forming, PEM hardware installation, welding, and deburr or finishing as required.
• Organizing, planning, and prioritizing work, for the most efficient use of time and machinery in accordance with the KPSM Master Production Schedule
• Setup and Operate CNC lasers, CNC punch presses, CNC press brakes as needed.
• Use pallet jacks, carts, and lift trucks to move material between work centers.
• Coordinate daily shift PM (Preventive Maintenance) activities by following the Asset Tiger calibration / PM schedule.
• Participate in weekly production meetings to align with Kratos’ business priorities.
• Communicate maintenance and machine specific service issues needing work.
• Work closely with the KPSM Operations Director for equipment proposals, Lean initiatives, interviewing new hires, helping to document employee deficiencies or behavioral corrections.
• Utilize production schedules, JobBoss^2 tools to stay on schedule.
• This Precision Sheet Metal Foreman position will recommend discipline actions to the Fabrication Manager and KPSM Operations Director.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically able to operate different machinery/equipment.
• Prolonged periods of standing walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, reaching, stooping, and carrying materials.
• Must be able to lift fifty pounds at a time.
• Noise levels can be loud and disruptive at times.
• Warehouse environment, indoor but not climate controlled.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Verbal and written communication skills/Interpersonal relationships
• Willingness to collaborate with team members, listen to and discuss methods and principles with peers.

EXPERIENCE:

• Sheet metal fabrication: 5+ year (Preferred)
• CNC Machinery Setup and Operation: 5+ year (Preferred)
• Office Suite, MS Teams (Preferred)
