Job Summary:
Workshop Foreman leads and manages the automobile workshop operations and have a strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and body shop repairs, along with proven supervisory skills to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of mechanics, electricians, denters, painters, and technicians.
- Allocate job cards received from the Service Advisor, set priorities, and ensure smooth workflow.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, wiring, sensors, ECUs) and guide technicians.
- Oversee body shop operations including denting, welding, panel replacement, painting, color matching, and finishing.
- Inspect completed work to ensure mechanical accuracy, electrical functionality, body alignment, and paint quality.
- Maintain staff discipline, attendance, productivity, safety, and workshop cleanliness.
- Monitor spare parts, tools, equipment, consumables, and control wastage.
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety standards, environmental guidelines
- Report job progress, delays, and manpower requirements to management.
- Support training and mentoring of junior staff.
- Handle basic customer or insurance-related technical queries when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Automobile / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in an automobile workshop, including supervisory or foreman-level exposure.
- Valid UAE - Heavy Vehicle Driving License
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and body shop repair processes.
- Excellent leadership, diagnostic, and communication skills.
