Foreman – Piling Works

Roles & Responsibilities
1. Site Supervision & Execution

• Supervise daily piling activities such as drilling, boring, driving piles, concreting, and installation of reinforcement cages.
• Ensure all work is carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with the site engineer to execute work as per the schedule.
• Monitor machine operators, rig movements, and ensure correct pile positioning.

2. Workforce Management

• Manage labour teams, piling crew, helpers, rig operators, and welding teams.
• Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure discipline and safety at site.
• Maintain attendance and report manpower requirements to project management.

3. Safety & Compliance

• Enforce safety rules and ensure workers use proper PPE at all times.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safe operation of piling rigs, cranes, and pumps.
• Immediately report incidents, unsafe acts, or equipment malfunctions.

4. Quality Control

• Check pile depth, verticality, alignment, and ensure drilling is as per design.
• Ensure proper cleaning of boreholes, correct concrete mix, and proper tremie pipe method.
• Verify and check reinforcement cage details before lowering.
• Maintain pile logs and work records accurately.

5. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers.
• Communicate daily work progress and issues to the site engineer/project manager.
• Assist in arranging materials such as steel cages, concrete, bentonite, and consumables.

6. Equipment Handling

• Ensure piling rigs, cranes, compressors, generators, and pumps are in good working condition.
• Report machine faults immediately and coordinate with maintenance teams.
• Ensure proper fueling and checklists for daily operation.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily site reports, pile records, and checklist documentation.
• Prepare reports on completed piles, concrete consumption, and equipment usage.
• Assist engineers in preparing QA/QC documentation for consultant inspections.

8. Problem Solving

• Troubleshoot common piling issues such as collapse of boreholes, water inflow, bentonite circulation problems, or refusal levels.
• Implement quick actions to avoid delays and ensure continuous progress.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
