Southeast Missouri Network Against Sexual Violence (SEMO-NASV) is a local nonprofit that provides advocacy, forensics, education, and counseling to those that have faced sexual violence in eight counties in southeast Missouri. We believe that through our services we can truly listen to every voice and advocate for every heart.
We're looking for:
- A full-time Forensic Interviewer
- Passion for assisting children and adults that have faced sexual violence in a trauma-informed setting
- Calm demeanor, ability to work with all ages in high stress situations
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with internal and external teams
- Strong organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills
- High ethical standards with the ability to maintain confidentiality
- A team player, who enjoys a collaborative environment, but has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Willingness to travel throughout our eight-county service region (mileage reimbursement available) - Office locations in Jackson and New Madrid, Missouri
- With training, educate and explain forensic interview in court setting
- Participate in after-hours call rotation
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree required (social work, criminal justice, psychology, human & social services field, education, or management)
- Background check and fingerprinting required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with law enforcement, working with clients in a medical setting/child advocacy center, and/or Children’s Division
- Experience with the judicial system/court process
- ChildFirst Forensic Interview trained a plus
