Overview
Restoration Psychological Services provides mental health
treatment and evaluation services for people who have been charged
and/or convicted of sexual assault. Asa clinic we also provide services supporting substance use, trauma, and community reintegration. Our treatment abides by the Sex
Offense Management Board (SOMB) Standards and Guidelines, yet
embellishes those requirements by augmenting our treatment with
evidenced, strength-based interventions. RPS is known for being a primary provider
leader in the field of treatment for individuals who have committed sexual
assault or have problematic sexual behaviors.

Join our dynamic mental health team as a Forensic Mental Health Therapist (SOMB Provider), where you will play a vital role in delivering specialized forensic mental health services within a community based environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse populations, including individuals with neurodivergence, trauma histories, and complex behavioral needs. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide comprehensive assessments, therapy, and case management to promote recovery, stability, and safety. Your expertise will help shape individualized treatment plans that support positive outcomes in a challenging yet rewarding setting.
Our team is collaborative and stems from an integrative theraputic appraoch. We work diligently with lawyers and supervising officers in Colorado to support client care. We are seeking another contract based clinician to support coverage, facilitate groups, and individual sessions.
As a clinician, the greatest reward from this work is witnessing clients
face the reality of their behaviors, heal themselves, reconcile past
relationships, while moving forward in their lives with hope and
integrity. RPS is currently in need of part-time therapists to support
our Greeley office. This is a contract position working one
to five days a week depending upon caseload. Pay is based on the number
of clients and how many groups are facilitated. Typical range of pay is
$1,000-$5000 monthly. As a contract therapist, there are no benefits,
however, training and supervision provided.
Job Description:
* Provide mental health treatment to people who have been convicted of
sexual assault.
* Lead group and individual therapy.
* Perform Sex Offense Mental Health Evaluations.
* Conform all treatment to SOMB Standards and Guidelines.
* Utilize the FETS/RPS manualized treatment protocols as a roadmap for
treatment, and expand upon the protocols to deepen the client’s
experience of themselves.
* Interact with a multidisciplinary team: other clinicians, probation/
parole officers, polygraph examiners, trauma therapists, domestic
violence therapists, and substance abuse therapists.
* Authentically engage clients from a non-judgmental space.
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in a behavioral health field.
* Licensed in Colorado or licensure candidate,
* Available to work in the afternoons and evenings.
* Possess excellent clinical skills, CBT experience a plus.
* Ability to work with clients with multiple co-occurring mental health
concerns. This includes sexual issues, substance abuse, mental health
disorders, personality disorders, past trauma, legal issues, financial
issues, loss of employment, grief and loss, poor self-esteem,
relationships issues, and attachment disorders.
A Note of Caution
Although this work can be very fulfilling and inspiring for the
clinician, the possibility of experiencing vicarious trauma or the
activation of one’s own past trauma is real. Candidates should
consider how their own mental health might be impacted. Please perform a
self-assessment of your personal vulnerabilities and limitations before
considering working with this population.
Skills
- Proficiency in behavioral therapy techniques and approaches.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those requiring special education support.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling methods and outpatient treatment strategies.
- Familiarity with judicial protocols for mental health patients who are under supervision.
- Ability to conduct research related to mental health practices and client outcomes.
- Experience working with adults while implementing trauma informed care.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, colleagues and supervising officers.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
-Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations involving mental health assessments using medical terminology; familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
-Ability to perform patient assessment through intake interviews; skilled in group therapy facilitation and individual counseling tailored to diverse populations.
