Purpose of Position:

Del Monte Foods is the Foods Division of Fresh Del Monte, a global grower, producer and marketer of fresh, value-added, and shelf-stable produce. Del Monte Foods has a powerful portfolio of brands, including the iconic Del Monte®, Contadina® and S&W®. We are currently seeking Seasonal Operations Forepersons to support seasonal workforce coordination, employee scheduling, training oversight, production staffing, warehouse operations, attendance tracking, and daily operational support during pack season operations. Employees in these positions assist leadership with staffing coordination, employee accountability, cross-training, timekeeping support, and operational coverage throughout the facility.

Accountabilities:

Seasonal Operations Forepersons serve as operational support leaders responsible for coordinating seasonal workforce activities, supporting production and warehouse staffing needs, assisting with employee placement, maintaining staffing coverage, monitoring attendance and timekeeping, and supporting employee training and development throughout pack season operations.

Employees in these positions work closely with Human Resources, Supervisors, Crew Leaders, Warehouse Leadership, and operational teams to ensure seasonal employees are properly trained, assigned, scheduled, and supported in accordance with operational needs, food safety standards, and company policies.

Employees may perform duties in one or more operational areas, including:
  • Coordinate seasonal employee staffing, scheduling, and workstation assignments
  • Ensure employees are present and properly assigned at shift startup
  • Assist with break relief, day-off relief, and staffing coverage coordination
  • Verify employee timecards, attendance records, and KRONOS/timekeeping information for accuracy
  • Support daily crewing adjustments, staffing modifications, and operational labor balancing
  • Coordinate position upgrades or downgrades based on employee qualifications, operational needs, or staffing demands
  • Ensure seasonal employees complete required training prior to transferring into new assignments or operational areas
  • Assist with onboarding, training, cross-training, and qualification tracking for seasonal employees
  • Monitor employee attendance, performance, and operational accountability
  • Assist leadership with disciplinary documentation, attendance tracking, and employee follow-up activities
  • Support warehouse and production leadership with staffing coordination and operational communication
  • Verify employees are utilizing required PPE, GMP materials, and food safety practices
  • Assist with translation and communication support for employees as needed
  • Maintain accurate records, staffing reports, crewing documentation, and operational paperwork
  • Support cycle counts, reporting activities, inventory coordination, or warehouse support functions where applicable
  • Assist with first aid response support as needed
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee, attendance, staffing, and operational information
  • Support Supervisors, Human Resources, and operational leadership requests as assigned


Training
  • On-the-job training is provided for all assigned work areas. Employees may be cross trained in multiple operational functions based on business needs.


Seasonal Incentives
To support employees during our peak pack season, Del Monte Foods offers select incentives for eligible seasonal workers. These incentives are designed to assist with temporary relocation and seasonal work demands and may include:
  • Housing assistance or housing incentives
  • Transportation allowance
  • Sanitation Bonus (for eligible employees)


These incentives are available only during the active pack season (typically June through early October) and are subject to eligibility requirements, availability, and business needs. Incentives may be modified or discontinued at any time based on operational conditions.

Minimum Skills Required:
  • Bilingual communication skills are required for this role
  • Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with employees and leadership
  • Ability to coordinate staffing priorities and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain accurate attendance, scheduling, staffing, and operational records
  • Ability to use timekeeping, attendance systems, spreadsheets, or basic computer programs
  • Ability to follow company policies, GMP requirements, food safety standards, and workplace procedures
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with employee and operational information
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs, and move throughout warehouse and production areas during assigned shifts
  • Ability to maintain productivity and organization during high-volume operational periods
  • Reliable attendance and dependability throughout the seasonal production period.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, production, or operational leadership experience
  • Previous scheduling, staffing coordination, or employee training experience
  • Experience with UKG, attendance systems, or timekeeping processes
  • Experience supporting seasonal or high-volume workforce operations
  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
  • Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills strongly preferred
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred, training will be provided by site
  • Experience with employee coaching, documentation, or performance tracking
  • An equivalent combination of education, manufacturing experience, warehouse operations, military service, staffing coordination, employee leadership, administrative support, or related operational experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the essential functions of the position may be considered.
