Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering tools and methodologies. This role involves designing, developing, and improving products through effective problem-solving and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve engineering issues effectively.
• Utilise AutoCAD and SolidWorks for designing and modelling components and systems.
• Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to enhance automation processes.
• Create and interpret schematics for various engineering projects.
• Apply mechanical knowledge in the fabrication of parts and tooling for production.
• Implement GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in designs to ensure precision.
• Oversee plastics injection moulding processes, ensuring quality and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
• Collaborate with assembly teams to optimise product assembly processes.
• Engage in welding tasks as required for project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, fabrication techniques, and tooling design.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous.
• Knowledge of plastics injection moulding processes is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement methodologies.
