- Operate forklifts and reach trucks to safely and efficiently move materials, products, and equipment within the warehouse or worksite.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and other vehicles, ensuring proper stacking and securing to prevent damage and maintain load stability.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, tires, and safety devices, and report any issues immediately to maintain operational readiness.
- Transport materials to designated areas, such as storage locations or production lines, following established procedures and safety protocols.
- Pick and fulfill orders accurately, retrieving items from storage and preparing them for shipment, paying close attention to order details.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by documenting all movements of materials, including receiving, storing, and shipping, using inventory management systems.
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company policies, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following traffic patterns.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues or malfunctions to the maintenance department promptly.
- Collaborate with other warehouse staff, such as supervisors, loaders, and order pickers, to coordinate activities and optimize workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, removing debris, and ensuring that aisles are clear to ensure safety and efficiency.
