Position Summary

The Forklift Operator position is responsible for safely operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment to support manufacturing and warehouse operations at Morrill Industries. This role ensures the efficient movement, storage, and staging of raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods while maintaining a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and production areas
• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated locations
• Supply production lines with materials to prevent downtime
• Inspect materials for damage and report issues to supervision
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report mechanical or safety issues
• Accurately complete inventory movements using scanners or paperwork
• Maintain clean, organized warehouse and production support areas
• Follow all company procedures related to material handling and inventory control
• Perform other related duties as assigned by authorized personnel

Safety Responsibilities

• Follow all Morrill Industries safety policies and procedures
• Operate forklifts in compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines
• Use required PPE at all times while operating equipment or working in the facility
• Report safety hazards, incidents, or near misses immediately

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to safely operate a forklift or willingness to become forklift certified
• Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Forklift experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Experience using inventory systems, scanners, or material tracking paperwork

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment
• Exposure to forklifts, machinery, and production areas

Goal of the Position

The goal of the Forklift Operator position is to support efficient manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are moved safely, accurately, and on time, contributing to productivity, workplace safety, and overall operational excellence at Morrill Industries.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly Pay: $22 – $25 (Based on Experience)

Additional Requirements:

• Must be able to commute to Escalon, CA 95320
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
