Forklift Operator

Basic Purpose/Function: In one or two sentences, briefly but specifically describe the primary functions of the position (i.e., who the incumbent supports, with whom the incumbent interacts, etc.)

To provide forklift duties in the Logistics & Warehousing Department to ensure proper and safe equipment operation in accordance with Plant Operation policies and procedures and OSHA safety rules and regulations. This includes but is not limited to driving forklifts to load and unload product from trucks; loading PCU trucks; preparing orders and samples for shipment; box pulling or other special packaging requirements as needed; performing inventory audits as necessary; keeping the warehouse clean; and other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements: Indicate level of education typically required for the position and the area of concentration.

High school diploma or equivalent
Certified forklift operator
1-3 years prior related experience
ability to work an 8-hour straight day schedule
ability to work 12-hour shift as need for overtime coverage or on weekends if required
demonstrated mechanical aptitude
successful completion of a pre-employment physical, drug screen, fitness test, and background check
