Forklift Operator

POSITION PURPOSE:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, move, and stack goods. Attention to detail, efficiency, and adherence to safety procedures are critical for this role.

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, move, stack, wrap, and stage materials throughout the warehouse and shipping areas.
• Support daily shipping and receiving operations by accurately tracking inventory movements, maintaining proper documentation, and assisting team members as needed.
• Inspect materials, containers, and equipment for damage, cleanliness, quality concerns, and compliance with company and shipping standards, reporting any deficiencies promptly.
• Perform routine forklift inspections and maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
• Assist with general warehouse operations, including inventory counts, packaging, leak inspections, housekeeping, and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all warehouse policies, standard operating procedures, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• High school diploma/GED required
• 3+ years warehouse experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Excel
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Dependable team player with a strong work ethic and reliability
• Experience with export shipping documentation and procedures strongly preferred
• Forklift certification preferred
• Warehouse Management System experience
