Forklift Operator

Duties

• Safely operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, move, and position materials within the warehouse.
• Perform order picking using <PERSON> pick systems and ensure accurate selection for shipping orders.
• Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or notify maintenance for mechanical issues to ensure optimal forklift performance.
• Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) updates to track inventory levels, locations, and movements accurately.
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials efficiently for storage or dispatch.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to OSHA safety standards and proper lifting techniques during heavy lifting tasks.

Requirements

• Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and weight verification.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform minor equipment repairs or troubleshooting.
• Experience with order picking systems, shipping & receiving processes, and materials handling techniques.
• Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
• Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting tasks and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Warehouse experience including distribution, inventory management, or logistics is highly preferred. Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
