Forklift Operator / Waste Disposal

3rd Shift - 11pm-7am - Sunday-Thursday (Some Fridays)

Summary

As a forklift operator / waste disposal tech, you will be responsible for efficiently handling waste and ensuring safe waste disposal practices within the industrial environment. Reporting to the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will utilize your core skills in materials handling and forklift operation, while adhering to safety regulations. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, promoting safety, and optimizing operational efficiency. Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently move and dispose of waste material in the appropriate location.
• Sort and dispose of waste into the appropriate containers.
• Perform routine inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance or repair needs.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the cleaning of specific areas of the facility.
• Operate sweeper and scrubber machines to clean factory floors.
• Perform routine inspections on sweeper and scrubber machine and report any maintenance or repair needs.

Skills:

• Proficient in operating forklifts, and other warehouse equipment is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of materials handling and warehouse operations is a plus.
• Familiarity with forklift safety protocols is a plus.
• Familiarity with ride-on sweeper and scrubber machines is a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in materials handling and warehouse operations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Physical stamina to handle lifting and moving of materials
• Previous experience in waste disposal or recycling operations is a plus
