About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Shop Technician to join our Fort Worth service team. As a Shop Technician, you will be responsible for performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on forklifts and material handling equipment in our shop facility. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, thrives in a team environment, and takes pride in preparing equipment to perform reliably in the field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair forklifts and material handling equipment in the shop.

• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Prepare rental and sales equipment to ensure it meets company and customer standards.

• Order and install replacement parts as needed.

• Maintain accurate service records for all work performed.

• Work closely with the Service Manager and other technicians to ensure timely turnaround.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of experience in equipment, automotive, or forklift repair/maintenance.

• Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

• Ability to read and interpret schematics, service manuals, and work orders.

• Safety-minded with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift repair certification(s) a plus.

• Experience with multiple forklift brands and models.

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• Willingness to continue training and skill development.
