Special Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

Production and Processing – Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control for maximizing the effective manufacture of product.

Environmental, Health, Safety and Security – Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote a safe and compliant workplace in accordance with applicable local, state, or federal regulations for the protection of people, property, data, etc.

Mathematics – Basic knowledge of arithmetic, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and their applications.

Communication- Effectively communicate with others at all levels of the organization both written and audibly to convey necessary information effectively.

Able to read a mechanical drawing.

Willingness to be trained. Good listening skills and note taking during training.
Key Job Tasks:

Tends machines that wind, shape, cut, bend or form flat blanks to required specifications.

Positions metal blanks in various types of presses.
-
Depresses pedal or operates push buttons to lower shaping die that stamps out forms.
-
Drills and taps holes or deburrs products as necessary.
-
Measures products for conformance to specifications, using gauges, optical comparators, calipers and micrometers.

Spot welds or solders as required.
-
Operates taping machines and cuts product.
-
Records inspection and test results and prepares and submits reports as required.
-
Packs products into cartons or packs filled cartons in shipping containers.
-
Seals and loads container.
-
May form shipping container or attach label onto container.
-
May weigh product to verify accuracy of quantities.
-
May hand stamp or stencil identifying information on cartons or shipping containers.
-
Racks or wires product for finishing operation, removes product as well.
-
Clean and maintain equipment and area around your workspace.
-
Documenting/Recording Information-Entering, transcribing, recording, storing, or maintaining information in written or electronic form.

Other tasks as required or directed by supervisor or manager.
