Position Summary

The Forms Layout Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining form templates for DocMagic’s library of forms, including application of accessible PDF Tags. DocMagic maintains a library of over 40,000 forms that must comply with legal and regulatory requirements in all 50 states, including county-specific recording requirements. Attention to detail is of paramount importance for the position. The forms layout group reports to the Chief Compliance Officer.


Essential Functions

  • In accordance with DocMagic standards create new templates, revise existing templates, review, proofread for context errors, and perform electronic compares for accuracy.
  • Maintain, create and update inventory files in Universe and file completed templates, PCLs, and other form artifacts.
  • Apply accessible PDF/UA Tags to DocMagic documents for use with DocMagic’s document generation engine.
  • Search DocMagic Inventory templates and download necessary forms from websites.
  • Verify that customer specifications have been satisfied and that documents meet state and local compliance regulations.
  • Perform edits, report document changes and revisions and verify revision versions from DocMagic inventory and document websites.
  • Create PCL template or PDF template versions for use by the forms programming team.
  • Work required shift change and overtime as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree desired
  • 2 years’ experience in forms layout, typography, or related field.
  • 1-year experience working with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • 2 years working in a fast-pasted environment and the ability to meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines.
  • Mortgage industry experience and knowledge preferred.
