Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Formulation Scientist to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing innovative skincare and dermatology formulations, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines, and supporting product development from concept to commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize topical formulations (creams, lotions, gels, serums, face washes, sunscreens, etc.) tailored for dermatology and skincare applications.
• Conduct literature reviews and feasibility studies to support new product development.
• Work closely with the marketing and regulatory teams to align product concepts with market trends and compliance requirements.
• Perform stability testing, compatibility studies, and efficacy evaluations to ensure product quality and safety.
• Troubleshoot formulation challenges and provide innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with packaging, quality, and production teams to scale up formulations for manufacturing.
• Ensure all formulations comply with dermatology, cosmetic, and regulatory guidelines (BIS, FDA, CDSCO, etc.).
• Maintain accurate documentation, formulation records, and technical reports.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field .
• 3–6 years of experience in formulation development for cosmetics, personal care, or dermatology products .
• Strong knowledge of raw materials, active ingredients, excipients, and delivery systems used in skincare formulations.
• Hands-on experience in stability studies, scale-up processes, and regulatory compliance .
• Familiarity with international cosmetic regulations (US FDA, EU, ASEAN) is an added advantage.
• Detail-oriented, analytical, and innovative mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
