Formwork Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and execute all formwork activities for high-rise structures (core walls, slabs, columns).
• Select and implement suitable formwork systems (e.g., climbing, jumpform, table form).
• Coordinate with project managers, structural engineers, and site teams.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
• Ensure all formwork is installed as per approved shop drawings and specifications.
• Monitor slab cycle times and optimize construction sequencing.
• Enforce HSE standards and ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Conduct inspections prior to concrete pouring (alignment, level, verticality).
• Control material usage, minimize wastage, and manage formwork inventory.
• Track progress and report any delays or risks to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• +8 years of experience in construction, with a focus on high-rise/tower projects.
• Strong experience with modern formwork systems (Doka, PERI, etc.).
• Solid understanding of structural drawings and concrete works.
• Experience working in UAE or GCC is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).

Preferred Qualifications

• NEBOSH / IOSH certification.
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality regulations.
• Experience in fast-track or large-scale tower projects.
