About the Role

As a Forward-Deployed AI Accounting Innovator, you will be embedded directly with clients to understand their real-world accounting challenges (close process, AR/AP, payroll, reconciliations, monthly financials), and then design, prototype, and validate automations using tools like Make.com, Zapier, n8n, Replit, and AI copilots.

You will act as the bridge between practical accounting operations and cutting-edge AI product development. You’ll see the problems firsthand, build workflows that save hours, prove that they work, and then translate those into requirements for our engineering + AI teams.

What You’ll Do1. Work directly with clients

• Understand how their books are managed
• Perform hands-on accounting: book close, reconciliations, AR/AP, payroll, cleanups
• Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and repetitive manual steps

2. Build AI & automation prototypes

• Create automations using:
• Make.com / n8n / Zapier
• AI tools (OpenAI, Replit, custom agents)
• Develop quick AI-driven MVPs that automate real accounting workflows
• Show measurable time savings and accuracy improvements

3. Translate prototypes into product

• Document workflows with precision
• Convert automation logic into clear product requirements
• Work with engineering to convert prototypes into platform features
• Evaluate and research external tools (payroll, AR/AP, tax, OCR, PDF, reconciliation, etc.)

4. Constantly research & innovate

• Track emerging AI/accounting tools
• Test new automation frameworks
• Identify how bookkeeping & tax can be redesigned using AI

Requirements (MUST-Have)Accounting Background

• 2–5 years in bookkeeping or accounting
• End-to-end bookkeeping experience (close, reconciliations, AR/AP, payroll)
• Strong understanding of financial statements

Automation / Tech Skills

• Hands-on experience building real workflows in:
• Make.com, Zapier, n8n (must have)
• Bonus: Replit, Python, OpenAI APIs
• Ability to identify steps in a workflow and automate them cleanly
• Experience testing automations with data

Credentials Preferred

• CPA / EA / CA Inter / US Accounting Coursework
• Exposure to US GAAP or US small business accounting

Projected Total Compensation: ₹200,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
