Become a Key Player as a Forward Deployed Engineer
You will help the organization bridge its telemetry platform and customers' complex engineering needs, delivering custom solutions that enable faster, more reliable development. You’ll work directly with customer engineering teams and internal product and engineering stakeholders to translate requirements into product improvements. Hybrid — you should be based in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area and available for in-person collaboration (up to four days per week) and customer site visits; travel 10–15%.
Here’s How You’ll Make an Impact on the Team
- Partner with customers to understand technical challenges and adapt the platform to meet their needs
- Develop custom solutions and integrations using platform APIs
- Translate customer requirements into actionable feedback for product and engineering teams
- Create and maintain integrations with common engineering tools to enhance customer workflows
- Prepare materials and assist in technical onboarding and training sessions for customer teams
- Build trust-based relationships with customers and act as a technical advocate
Here’s What You’ll Need to Be Successful in This Role
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering
- Proficiency in Python
- Familiarity with REST APIs
- Basic understanding of data analysis and visualization techniques
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or another STEM discipline
- Willingness and ability to work from the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area and travel to customer sites Monday through Thursday as needed
Here’s What Else Might Help You Out
- Experience with aerospace systems, satellite operations, or autonomous vehicle development
- Experience with data streaming technologies or time-series databases (e.g., Kafka, InfluxDB)
- SQL and database knowledge
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience with software integration challenges in complex systems
- Machine learning or AI applications in engineering
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies
Pay Range
$125,000 - $175,000/year
