Foster Youth Tutor

We are seeking enthusiastic tutors in Panorama City, CA who enjoy working with children and can tutor in English Language Arts and/or Mathematics for students who are qualified for Foster Youth In-Home Tutoring Services. Tutoring takes place at student's home after school on weekdays. All tutoring is personalized and conducted in one-on-one setting. Tutors are able to choose their own flexible tutoring schedule based on their availability, as well as the geographical area(s) of tutoring sessions, and work with the same students on a weekly basis.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Must be Patient, responsible and passionate about teaching
• Must have strong communication skills to educate and motivate young students
• Must be able to tutor in Math and/or English Language Arts for grades K-12
• Bilingual in Spanish & English is a plus
• Previous experience as a tutor for Trauma Tutoring is a plus
• Must be current credentialed teachers, sub-teachers with college AA, BA, MA degrees, or college students with a least 60 core units
• Must be able to provide proof of a current TB Test (within past 4 years) and a complete criminal background check with the DOJ and FBI
• Must have a car or a reliable means of transportation to student's home to tutor
• Must be able to commit for at least six months of tutoring with our company

Company Description

We are a state approved SES provider and we work with Los Angeles County Office of Education to provide Foster Youth Tutoring services to qualified students within Los Angeles County. Our tutoring pay rate is up to 25/hr for 1-on-1 tutoring based on tutor's qualification and teaching experience. If you are interested in being a tutor with our company, please send us your resume.
