Foundation Eligibility Coordinator

Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Foundation Eligibility Coordinator to support
our pharmaceutical manufacturer’s patient assistance foundation program. In this role,
you will guide patients and healthcare providers through the eligibility and enrollment
process for free drug programs, verify required documentation, and ensure timely access
to therapy. This position is part of a contact center team and may be required to take
inbound or make outbound calls.
Training: First two weeks will be onsite Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm
Hours of Operations for Shifts will be Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and determine patient eligibility for the manufacturer’s patient assistance
  • foundation program.
  • Collect, verify, and document required financial and insurance information.
  • Educate patients and healthcare providers about available assistance program
  • benefits and requirements.
  • Ability to review, assess, and determine eligibility based on clinical, financial, and
  • insurance criteria.
  • Complete and submit applications; track progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Provide updates on approval status, refills, drug shipments, and reenrollment.
  • Maintain strict adherence to program policies and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver caring, high-quality customer service in all interactions.
  • Effectively listens for, understands, and documents potential adverse events reported
  • during patient interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Preferred – Certified Pharmacy Technician, in good standing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in patient assistance, healthcare financial
  • counseling, specialty pharmacy, or related field.
  • Experience with manufacturer PAPs or specialty medications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency with computer systems, call center software, and electronic
  • recordkeeping.
  • Skilled in gathering, verifying, and documenting sensitive personal and financial
  • information with accuracy.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of medical or pharmacy terminology is preferred.
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position is in a typical office environment which requires prolonged sitting in front of a
computer. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate
standard office equipment including operation of standard computer and phone
equipment. May have occasional high stress when dealing with customers/clients. Some
travel may be required.
