Bailey Cakes

Bailey Cakes is a product line within Bailey Rose Culinary focused on creating high-quality, performance-driven pantry staples. The first product is a protein-forward pancake mix designed to balance taste, simplicity, and functional nutrition. The brand is currently rooted in the endurance sports community, with strong potential to expand into the broader health-conscious consumer market. The long-term vision is to build a line of thoughtfully designed food products that perform in both high-performance environments and everyday kitchens.

Role Overview

This is a part-time Founder’s Associate role designed for someone who wants real exposure to building a business from the ground up. You’ll work directly with Bailey across operations, content, logistics, and communication—helping keep everything organized and moving forward. This role is intentionally broad and will evolve over time.

Time Allocation (Approximate)

· 60–70% — Bailey Cakes (product operations & growth)

· 20–30% — Bailey Rose Culinary (events, content, brand work)

· ~10% — Bailey Smock personal / administrative support

Operations & Order Fulfillment (Core Responsibility)

Independently manage weekly order fulfillment for Bailey Cakes (~5+ hours/week on-site in Denver, typically Sundays). Work is done independently and requires being on your feet for extended periods.

· Measure, package, and label product accurately using a scale

· Prepare orders for shipment

· Maintain a clean, organized, food-safe workspace

· Manage packaging supplies and flag low inventory

· Drop off shipments using personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed)

Small details matter — accuracy and consistency directly impact the customer experience and company liability. This is a high-trust responsibility.

Supply, Sourcing & Operational Strategy

· Manage sourcing and ordering of ingredients and packaging supplies

· Research vendors, pricing, and supply options

· Monitor inventory and proactively reorder

· Research wholesale logistics, supply chains, and delivery options

Analysis & Optimization

· Provide analysis on cost of goods, suppliers, logistics

· Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost

Content Support

· Organize photo and video content

· Assist with posting and light editing

· Capture content during work/events

Communication & Coordination

· Draft and send emails to partners and collaborators

· Follow up and keep communication organized

Communication & Responsiveness

Primary communication via email and text. Quick, organized responses required, especially across time zones. Calls are occasional and scheduled.

Schedule & Availability

Flexible schedule overall with required weekly fulfillment block (~5+ hours). Must be adaptable to travel schedules and time zones.

Event & Travel Support (Optional)

Opportunities may arise to assist with events, travel, or catering. Includes FOH support, kitchen support, setup/breakdown, and content capture. Not guaranteed.
