Founding Designer

Founding Product Designer required for one of the hottest apps on the market!

We are seeking a Founding Product Designer for one of the hottest products going, which has already had 250k app downloads and 60k paid users in the first 5 months and is now the #1 app of its kind in the USA. This hits a huge, primary consumer market, has been immensely popular with its users and is now gaining national media attention.

We are working closely with them to hire a founding product designer - ideally someone who might have experienced that mindset and environment before, or is up for the challenge! So far, the design work has been done in-house but we now need a specialist who can help the product evolve further and really bring it to life! There is a good focus on the consumer and they are seeking someone with experience of a widely used product/app which has grown quickly.

Requirements:

• You must be able to provide a live portfolio with good examples of your work
• You must have worked on at least 1 shipped / popular consumer app previously
• Excellent mobile UI skills are a hard requirement
• Additional skills with gamification, animation or motion design is desired to help bring the app to life
• Strong overall visual design ability is required
• You must be based in NYC and be happy with 5-days on site
• Be happy with a grind – you will be given equity and be part of the founding team!

This Founding Product Designer role offers a salary of $150k - $250k + meaningful equity and the chance to work on an app that is only going to get more and more popular. This is an on-site role and we are also open to those happy to relocate to NYC from other states.
