Company Overview

UpLaw is a bootstrapped LegalTech startup transforming access to justice in Pakistan. We are building a technology-driven legal services marketplace that connects individuals and businesses with verified lawyers, bringing transparency, affordability, and efficiency to a broken legal ecosystem.

We are currently preparing for a Pre-Seed fundraising round and early national scale.


UpLaw’s technology development is handled by an experienced IT partner company in Pakistan. We are now looking for a strong executor and leader to help scale the business, raise capital, and run day-to-day operations.


The Role

- We are seeking a Co-Founder (Operations, Strategy & Fundraising) who will work directly with the CEO & CTO to build, represent, and scale UpLaw.

- This is not a symbolic co-founder role. You will be the operational engine, public face, and execution partner, responsible for converting strategy into results.

- This is a full-time, equity-first role, based in Islamabad (hybrid flexibility possible).


Key Responsibilities


  • Execution & Operations

- Lead day-to-day operations, internal coordination, and execution of company strategy

- Translate vision into clear execution roadmaps, KPIs, and milestones

- Manage budgets, resources, and operational priorities

  • Fundraising & Representation

- Lead and support Pre-Seed fundraising (angels, grants, VCs, institutional programs)

- Represent UpLaw in pitching competitions, demo days, accelerators, and investor meetings

- Prepare and deliver investor pitches, proposals, and follow-ups

  • Government, Legal & Institutional Engagement

- Liaise with Government Departments, Law Ministries, Bar Councils, and Associations

- Build partnerships with law firms, law schools, NGOs, and justice-sector stakeholders

  • Brand, Media & Growth

- Act as a spokesperson for UpLaw in media interviews, panels, talks, and public forums

- Lead marketing and branding efforts using social capital and partnerships

- Support user acquisition, lawyer onboarding, and ecosystem growth


Ideal Profile

- Prior experience as a founder/co-founder, startup operator, or senior leader in a high-growth environment

- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

- Comfortable representing a startup at investor, government, and public platforms

- Good understanding of finance, fundraising mechanics, and business operations

- Able to operate in ambiguity, take ownership, and execute independently

- Willing to work full-time on equity initially (no salary until funding is raised)

- Mission-driven, ethical, and aligned with access to justice, inclusion, and impact


Partnership & Equity Structure


- 3% – 5% equity (negotiable), structured over a 5-year milestone-based vesting plan

- Annual equity transfer tied to pre-agreed execution and fundraising milestones

- Annual profit/dividend participation (subject to performance and profitability)

- 1 Board Seat with voting right (after pre-seed round)
