• 4+ years designing mobile consumer products with a portfolio showcasing exceptional UI, UX, and interaction design.
• Experience working at a high-growth small company
• Exceptional taste - this is the most important quality. You have an eye for what works and know when something feels right.
• User experience over artistic expression - you're pragmatic, not precious. You prioritize what works for users over what looks impressive in isolation.
• Deep iOS design expertise - you understand platform patterns, gesture design, and what makes apps feel magical on iPhone.
• Comfortable with variety - you get energized switching between product UI, web design, character work, and marketing assets. You want to own the full visual experience, not specialize in one area.
• Data-informed and execution-focused - you use analytics and user feedback to guide decisions, ship quickly in fast-paced environments, and excel at taking clear direction and turning it into polished reality.
• Strong collaborator - you articulate design rationale clearly and work closely with product and engineering.
• Based in NYC or willing to relocate - this is an in-person role.

• Animation and motion design skills in Lottie, Rive, or similar tools.
• Character design or illustration experience - mascots, visual systems, or branded characters.
• Graphic design passion with strong typography skills - you have a sense for layout, hierarchy, and type that elevates every touchpoint.
• Background in health tech, behavior change, or gamification products.
• You've been a founding designer or early design hire at a high-growth startup.
