Founding Marketer / Head of Growth — The JSR Engine

Remote · Equity + commission, base negotiable as we scale

The JSR Engine is software that automatically manages and optimizes Google Ads for small business owners — twice a day, no agency, no marketing degree required. The product works:

  • Rent-A-Tent: cost per lead dropped from $110.89 to $19.13. Conversions per week up 185%. Ad spend cut in half.
  • Sunny Party Rentals: cost per lead from $159.73 to $16.49. Conversions up 355%. Ad spend cut in half.
  • Up In Smoke BBQ: 65% fewer wasted impressions, 8.6x return on ad spend ($6,000 in revenue on $696 in spend).

We have paying customers, real results, and a product that delivers. What we don't have yet is a marketing engine that compounds.

That's the role.

I'm the founder. I built the product, run the cold email, write the copy, ship the videos, and answer the support tickets. I need a partner who owns growth so I can go deep on product. This isn't a role where you'll inherit a playbook — you'll build it.

What you'd own

  • User acquisition end-to-end. Paid, organic, outbound, partnerships — whatever works.
  • Social media across the channels that matter for our ICP (small home service operators). Building presence, not just posting.
  • Demo videos and product content. Screen recordings, founder-style explainers, case study breakdowns.
  • Outbound campaigns. We have an Apollo + Instantly setup running and a commissioned cold caller in the field. You'd take this over, refine it, and scale it.
  • Finding the next channel. Reddit, Facebook groups, YouTube creators, chambers of commerce — we've tested all of these. You'd figure out which to pour gas on and what we haven't tried yet.

Who you are

  • You've grown a B2B SaaS from early-stage to real revenue, ideally in a non-tech vertical (home services, trades, SMB tools).
  • You're a hands-on operator, not a manager-of-managers. You'll be writing the cold email, recording the video, and editing the landing page yourself for a while.
  • You're comfortable with messy attribution, small sample sizes, and figuring it out as you go.
  • You like the idea of getting in on something early enough that the upside is real.

Compensation

We're not at the stage where I can offer a $180K base. What I can offer is a small base plus performance-based commission tied to acquired customers and revenue, with the explicit deal that base scales meaningfully as we grow. There's also room for equity for the right person.

This is a ground-floor opportunity. If you want predictable comp, this isn't it. If you want to build a marketing engine from scratch in a market where the product genuinely works and the founder will get out of your way, let's talk.
