About The Role

What you'll work on

• Build voice AI systems and document agent workflows that handle millions of claims - working with the latest AI technology as it emerges.
• Forward-deployed engineering - Work directly with customers to understand their workflows and build solutions that eliminate friction.
• Ship production TypeScript/Python code that processes real claims.
• Design APIs, data models, and integrations with claims management systems.
  
  

What You'll Need To Bring

• Extreme agency: More than anything, we want to see a hunger to learn and a tenacity to solve problems. You thrive in ambiguity and early-stage building excites you.
• Proven builder: 3+ years shipping production systems users depend on in TypeScript, Python or Go.
• Backend expertise: REST, databases (PostgreSQL, Vector DBs), cloud systems (AWS, GCP), Docker, and architecture.
• Domain modeling fluency: You can translate complex business workflows into elegant technical systems and data models.
• Context over dogma: To you, engineering is about making high IQ trade-off decisions. You may care deeply about code quality, but you're not dogmatic and know when it's time to ship.
  
  

Bonus Points

• Voice AI systems: Knowledge of voice platforms and telephony (Vapi, LiveKit, Twilio, Sip Trunking).
• Productizing LLMs: Experience with agents, limitations, robustness, tools, and function calling Experience with RAG pipelines, document processing, vector databases, and semantic search systems. Experience with LangGraph, Indexing.
• Tech Stack Experience: Previous work with Supabase, TypeScript, NextJS, Vercel, Docker, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and GitHub Actions.

• Salary: $150,000 - $200,000
• Equity: 0.5% - 1.5%
