Foundry Maintenance Engineer

Purpose of the Role

To ensure uninterrupted foundry operations by maintaining all plant equipment, utilities, and facilities in safe and optimal working condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of foundry equipment.
• Maintain induction furnaces, molding lines, sand plants, shot blasting machines, cranes, compressors, and heat-treatment furnaces.
• Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and statutory inspections.
• Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, SOPs, and legal requirements.
• Support production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment availability.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and improvement logs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / BE / BTech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 3–8 years of maintenance experience in a foundry or heavy engineering industry.
• Hands-on experience with furnace maintenance and foundry machinery preferred.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of TPM, 5S, and CMMS.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency breakdowns.
• Good coordination and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
