FOUNDRY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on foundry machinery (furnaces, molding machines, conveyors, cranes, etc.).
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct inspections to identify wear, damage, or potential failures in equipment.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and workshop cleanliness.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of foundry equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with welding, fabrication, and machining techniques.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in foundry or heavy industrial maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLCs and automation systems (preferred).
• Certification in safety practices or industrial maintenance (advantageous).

Working Conditions

• Foundry environment with exposure to heat, dust, and noise.
• Requires use of PPE (helmets, gloves, safety glasses, etc.).
• Shift-based work with occasional overtime during breakdowns or shutdowns.

Career Path

This role can lead to positions such as Senior Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Supervisor, or Plant Engineer, depending on performance and experience.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
